SUMMARY: 

A Metro-North Railroad train derailed in New York’s Bronx borough early today, killing four and injuring 63, a spokesman for the New York City fire department said.

The accident took place in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, said New York City fire department spokesman Michael Parrella.

At least five of the seven passenger cars that were being pushed by a diesel locomotive derailed, Aaron Donovan, a MTA spokesman, said in a telephone interview. The crash happened in a curving section of track near where the Hudson and Harlem rivers meet, Donovan said, saying none of the derailed cars were submerged in water.

MY OPINION:

The problem is no one is demanding anything be done about the broken infrastructure. Something happens, then it’s forgotten a week later. The blackout in NYC several years ago should've prompted massive improvements to the power grid, but nothing's been done. Same with bridges, train tracks, roads & everything else. Even when people die, nothing's done.

Woke up to this unbelievably sad news. Paul Walker, the actor who played undercover agent Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movies, is dead. He was killed yesterday afternoon Saturday November 30th in a tragic car accident in California. He had been shooting another instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise in Atlanta but returned home to California for thanksgiving when the accident occurred while on his way back from a charity event.

Paul Walker was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT driven by his long-time friend, Roger Rodas, who lost control and crashed into a light pole and tree in the community of Valencia, north of Los Angeles. When police arrived at the scene of the accident, the car was in flames and the two men inside the car were declared dead at the scene. Paul was just 40.

MY OPINION:

That man was an actor who appreciate so much, for his films and for his person, cause he’s so gorgeous.

Die with 40 years it’s a terrible thing, because you cannot live your life what you want it to do. It’s a tragic accident, he only went in his car and unfortunately he crash with a light and a tree.

He was a perfect actor and maybe so pretty person, but he left us yesterday in the accident.

Leo Messi suffered a hamstring injury, specifically a torn muscle in his left femoral biceps, on November 10 in the match away to Betis. The Medical Services predicted that he would be out of action for 6 to 8 weeks. It was also decided at the time that he’d start his recovery in Barcelona and fly out to Buenos Aires for the second phase.

MY OPINION:

Leo Messi it’s injured for a long time and always in the same muscle, in his left femoral biceps. That thing is because he don’t be recovered perfectly.

So I thing, for Leo it’s better go in Argentina or whatever, and do all the trainings possible for be recovered and do the 100 to 100 in all of the matches.

Pope Benedict XVI will be known as "emeritus pope" in his retirement and will continue to wear a white cassock, the Vatican has announced, again fuelling concerns about potential conflicts arising from having both a reigning and a retired pope.

The pope's title and what he would wear have been a major source of speculation ever since Benedict stunned the world and announced he would resign, the first pontiff to do so in 600 years.

In the two weeks since Benedict's resignation announcement, Vatican officials had suggested that Benedict would be likely to resume wearing the traditional black garb of a cleric and would use the title "emeritus bishop of Rome" so as to not create confusion with the future pope.

Benedict's decision to call himself emeritus pope and to keep wearing white is sure to fan concern voiced privately by some cardinals about the awkward reality of having two popes, both living within the Vatican walls.

Lombardi further described Benedict's final 48 hours as pope. On Tuesday, he was said to be packing, arranging for documents to be sent to the various archives at the Vatican and separating out the personal papers he will take with him into retirement.

On Wednesday, Benedict will hold his final public general audience in St Peter's Square – an event that has already drawn 50,000 ticket requests. He will not greet visiting prelates or VIPs as he normally does at the end but will greet some visiting leaders – from Slovakia, San Marino, Andorra and his native Bavaria – privately afterwards.

Meteorite explodes over Russia

A meteorite streaked across the sky and exploded over central Russia on Friday, raining fireballs over a vast area and causing a shock wave that smashed windows, damaged buildings and injured 1,200 people.

People heading to work in Chelyabinsk heard what sounded like an explosion, saw a bright light and then felt the shock wave, according to a Reuters correspondent in the industrial city 1,500 km (950 miles) east of Moscow.

The fireball, travelling at a speed of 30 km (19 miles) per second according to Russian space agency Roscosmos, had blazed across the horizon, leaving a long white trail that could be seen as far as 200 km (125 miles) away.

Car alarms went off, thousands of windows shattered and mobile phone networks were disrupted. The Interior Ministry said the meteorite explosion, a very rare spectacle, also unleashed a sonic boom.

The energy released when it entered the Earth's atmosphere was equivalent to a few kilotonnes, the academy said, the power of a small atomic weapon exploding.

The early-morning blast and ensuing shock wave blew out windows on Chelyabinsk's central Lenin Street, buckled some shop fronts, rattled apartment buildings in the city center and blew out windows.

The Emergencies Ministry described Friday's events as a "meteorite shower in the form of fireballs" and said background radiation levels were normal. It urged residents not to panic.

The first footage was shot by car dashboard video cameras and soon went viral.

Russians also quickly made fun at the event on the Internet. A photo montage showed Putin riding the meteorite and Nationalist politician Vladimir Zhirinovksy said in jest it was really a new weapon being tested by the United States.

END OF THE WORLD

For me the only actual date that has been the "end of the world" is this 2012 ... But it means the end of the world as we know it. The changes for that to happen and makes two or three years old that have been manifesting himself. As I have said, all change is for the better. Even death is a transition to a peaceful and better world. Obviously in this world have always been terrible things but it was not the same atmosphere that we are living now, people know that we perceive. Things continue to happen but we must not be afraid, just strength.

WINDOWS 8

On 26 October left much awaited Windows 8. The desktop includes a lot of elements that are not easy to find through a smaller touchscreen. Since we have removed the home button. But I believe that Windows 8 is much better than all the others, or at least the presentation since I have not used it yet, but I like to see that there start button, all the color he wears, is tactile , and the computer is very small, it can be qual to break more easily. Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy, which could affect tens of millions of people in the northeast US, is expected to bring days of rain, high winds and possibly heavy snow. New York City has closed its bus, subway and commuter rail service ahead of the storm.
Sandy is currently moving northward over the Bahamas and is expected to continue to track north while maintaining its hurricane strength.
The Caribbean death toll from Hurricane Sandy rose again sharply on Saturday, even as the storm swirled away toward the U.S. East Coast. Officials said the hurricane system has cost at least 58 lives in addition to destroying or badly damaging thousands of homes.
