Once again the season of giving is upon us.The snow is falling, the tree is up, the eggnog is ready and it is time to enjoy the company of friends, family and co-workers - whether you like it or not.
There are two age old questions that crop up around Christmas time every year: Is Santa real? And should we say Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas? Now, I realize that many people are proud of their faith and believe in the story of Bethlehem. They feel Christ is the reason for the season. However, Happy Holidays is a nice, warm, positive message as well. When people are wishing you Happy Holidays, they are not trying to belittle your beliefs, they are wishing you joy, love and peace over the holiday season. So don’t criticize the person who says it, take it as it was intended – a warm wish. And, if you want to, feel free to reply with “Merry Christmas.”
