Introduction - Hello we are Paula and Maria and in this oral
presentation we will talk about Australia. We chose this country because we
liked a lot. We are going to explain his demography, culture, gastronomy,
music, surf and animals.
Demography - The capital of Australia is Canberra.
Australia has more than two persons for square kilometre. With 89% of its
population living in urban areas, Australia is one of the world's most
urbanised countries.
Culture - Australian culture is founded on stories of
battlers, bushrangers and brave soldiers. It’s all about a fair go. Today
Australia also defines itself by its Aboriginal heritage, vibrant mix of
cultures, innovative ideas and a thriving arts scene.
Music - The oldes Australian music is the music of
Aborigines. For play this tipe of music the use the “digeridu”. Australia has
covered numerous styles, including rock and roll, country, hip hop, and reggae.
Kylie minogue, is an Australian singer from melburne she aswell is a recording
artist, songwriter and actress. Cody simpson is aswell an Australian pop singer
from Gold Coast, Queensland and he is only 16 years old.
Gastronomy - Australians eat plenty of meat, lamb and veal.
They also eat crocodile, buffalo, kangaroo and camel. The national dish is a
meat pie accompanied by a gravy sauce. A great variety of fish and seafood is
also part of the Australian diet. The most popular dessert in Australia is
called Pavlova made with fruit and meringue. There is a good variety of
tropical fruit in Australia, such as mango, papaya, pineapple, and guava.
Regarding drinks, Australia has good wines, such as Malbeec and Chardonnay.
Surf - Surf is the most impotant sport in this
country, because Australia Its an island and how you know you have to practice
surf in the water, well in the sea with the waves. That’s why almost all the
population practices that sport.
Animals - The fauna of Australia consists of a huge
variety of animals. The most famous animals of australia are cangarous, koalas,
sharks and cocdralins but there ara a lot more like dingo, emu, platypus and
wombat.
Presentation:
I think that I use a good presentation because it’s clear and
structurated. In this presentation I use the "Prezi" program and in my
opinion it’s a good way to do a presentation. (8%)
Body language and eye contact: When I have to talk in front to other
people I become a little bit shy and sometimes I have to look so much at the
audience. (8%)
Structure: The structure is clear and you can follow easily the
explanations; we have divided the project in different parts: demography, culture,
gastronomy, music, surf and animals. (8%)
Content: In the presentation, in my opinion, the content is quiet good
and we have tried to tell you everything we know. (32%)
Language: In this presentation, we try
to use some comprehensible words and I think that everything is correct. (12%)
Pronuntation: I
think that I need to improve if I want to do a really good presentation with a good English pronuntation. (6%)
